St George's Careers Service

St George's Careers Service is here to support all St George’s students and recent graduates to develop the skills and knowledge they need to pursue their career or further study. This includes 1:1 advice and coaching, careers workshops and events as well as access to careers information, resources and vacancy listings.

What can the careers adviser help with?
• Starting to think about options and signposting to useful resources
• Weighing up decisions on career choices, medical specialties or further study
• Advice and guidance on where to look for jobs
• CV, application form and further study personal statement checks
• Practice interviews

We encourage our students to start thinking about their career options early, and to develop their employability skills during their time at St George's, both independently and through curriculum-based activities. Our careers service works closely with all of our courses to make sure the best support is given to students at all levels of study.

A careers adviser cannot tell you want to do, or provide all the answers; their role is to help you to clarify your thinking and sharpen your ability to manage your own career.
